Wilhelmus van Nassouwe
ben ik, van Duitsen bloed
Hip hip hooray! It's King's day! Normally this would mean that today we would all be at a festival or walking through the city past all the stalls full of junk. With this beautiful weather, this King's Day was guaranteed to be a great success. But unfortunately, we had to celebrate the king's birthday this year from home. Welcome to the very first "living room day"!
Now that we can't walk around the canals, you see people everywhere panicking and making up other ways to celebrate Willie's birthday. There was a plan to sing the Wilhelmus, which of course we all did. Furthermore, there were virtual events everywhere to make sure all those DJs still have a job. And who would have thought: with a (couple of) beer(s) in your hand even Martin Garrix, Snollebollekes and StukTV sound ok from your living room.
The most fun virtual event of all was of course eating tompouce with us on Zoom. Unfortunately many of the attendees didn't have any tompouce, as they were sold out a long time ago. They were on sale and corona or no corona, all those stingy Dutch people can't walk past that.
The golden edge of this living room day is of course you now have the time to read this amazing newsletter. Hopefully you had a nice day, we would love to hear how you celebrated it tomorrow at 1PM on Discord!
On behalf of the entire board,
P.S. What's orange and rolls down the mountain?
