Via is looking for (female) confidential advisors
Last modified at: 06-10-2025
We believe it is important that everyone feels safe at via: in the Kelder, during drinks and activities, and in digital communication. That is why we are looking for people who want to become confidential advisors. We are mainly looking for a female confidential advisor, but it does not matter whether you are very active within via or not at all.
What does it entail?
You are the first point of contact for people who experience something unpleasant at via (or another study association) and want to talk about it. You listen to their story and together you look at possible follow-up actions. Everything you hear is strictly confidential, unless the person reporting the incident gives you permission to discuss the case with, for example, the board.
What does it not entail?
You are not a psychologist or mediator. You are therefore not responsible for the well-being of all via members. If someone needs more help, or if the request for help is too complex, you will call in the help of, for example, a confidential advisor from the UvA. Being a confidential advisor is therefore not intended to be emotionally stressful or time-consuming.
Are you interested or would you like more information? Send an email to bestuur@svia.nl and we will contact you as soon as possible.
