Are you passionate about programming and do you enjoy solving challenging programming puzzles? Then take part in the Amsterdam Programming Contest! This is the qualifying round for the larger BAPC. Together with your team (2–3 members; to qualify for the BAPC, your team must consist of 3 people), you’ll solve as many programming problems as possible within a tight time limit. You’ll use languages such as Python, C, C++ and Java. But with just one laptop per team, you’ll need to divide the tasks cleverly!
The best teams will be rewarded with prizes and get the chance to progress to the BAPC: the Benelux Algorithm Programming Contest. There, your team will compete against the best teams from other universities in the Benelux! This year, the BAPC is being organised in Leiden. The top teams from the BAPC will also qualify for the NWERC, an international programming contest in North-West Europe, which is taking place in Karlsruhe this year! The best of those will even go on to the European Championship. More information about the BAPC will be published shortly at https://bapc.eu.
General rules and conditions of participation can be found here: https://icpc.global/regionals/rules
Rules of the competition
For this competition, your team must bring one laptop on which to work. Peripheral equipment such as a mouse or keyboard may also be brought along. All equipment brought along will be checked by the jury.
You are also permitted to bring a cheat sheet, which may consist of a maximum of 25 pages and may be handwritten or found online. Each team member may bring a copy of this. Printers will be made available during the competition for printing code; you may make use of these.
See https://2025.bapc.eu/contest/ for more information and the problem sets from previous years.
