IguideME is currently looking for several student assistant developers to start immediately. IguideME is an educational tool developed within the faculty. In the coming academic year, this tool will be used more widely in new courses and expanded with new features. The aim of this expansion is to further improve the educational experience for students and lecturers.

Student assistant developers for IguideME Cloud (SaaS) will work in a small development team using the following stack: Python, ReactJS and Docker/Kubernetes. Depending on their experience and interests, they will be involved in:

  • Further developing the new IguideME Cloud SaaS codebase and demo
  • Setting up and implementing CI/CD DevOps architecture, hosting and service
  • Building new modules, such as an AI model for grade prediction and a Course Design Impact Analysis tool
  • Developing integrations with, among others, Brightspace and Itslearning

Students who do not wish to develop themselves but would like to contribute to the project in a support role are also invited to apply.

Period: as soon as possible, June 2026 to the end of 2026 (with the possibility of extension) Scope: on average 8–12 hours per week, to be agreed and arranged flexibly.

Candidates must work meticulously, take responsibility, be enthusiastic and results-oriented, and enjoy building practical software applications. Preference will be given to students who live in (or near) Amsterdam and have at least two years of study remaining.

Interested students can send their applications or questions to Dr E.A. van Vliet (e.a.vanvliet@uva.nl) or C. Veldhuizen, MSc (c.veldhuizen@uva.nl).
