On September 7, 2019, the NCSC and dcypher organized the first national student CTF 'Challenge the Cyber'. The third edition will take place on Saturday 29 May. Online, with interesting challenges built by the NCSC, Secura, Deloitte, ABN AMRO, Cybersprint and the Haagse Hogeschool.

Participation in Challenge the Cyber 2021 is open to anyone born between 1995 and 2007. CTC2021 is a team event for teams of 3 to 5 players, but participants can also register individually or in pairs. In such cases the organization will place the individuals or pairs in one team.

CTC2021 has 2 categories this year:
Junior (year of birth 2000 to 2007)
Senior (year of birth 1995 to 1999, possibly supplemented with players in the junior category)

Participants in Challenge The Cyber 2021 have a chance to qualify for the CyberBootCamp from 12 to 18 July 2021 in Reeuwijk. During this week, full of in-depth workshops and great team building activities, the team that will represent the Netherlands from 28 September to 1 October during the European Cyber Security Challenge in Prague, will be selected.

N.B.: the workshops during the CyberBootcamp are in Dutch and require good command of the Dutch language. Furthermore, to be selected for the Dutch team, participants must have the Dutch Nationality. European students can check this website to see when and how qualifications in their home country take place.
