Preparing for your career can be serious business, but it can also be exciting. Visit the UvA Career Day on 7 November 2019 to get inspired and to discover new options for your next step. The day will include inspiring talks, career workshops, CV-checks by recruiters, career coaches for personal advice and a photographer who can take your professional LinkedIn photo. The venue is Roeterseiland Campus, CREA, Nieuwe Achtergracht 170.

Talks

  • Joris Mencke, our failure expert, shares his insights into making choices
  • Allard van Leeuwen, a psychologist, will discuss why stereotypical thinking is your friend, but also your foe
  • Florian Gerritsen from De Bildung Academie will take a philosophical approach to thinking, and discuss how you can think differently.
  • The school for Millennials will round up the day with an energetic and interactive show to get all your ideas about careers blown away.

Workshops

Ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work after the talks? Choose one of our career workshops and get tips and insights into creating a CV or LinkedIn profile, how the Dutch labour market works, design thinking as a method for career orientation, and more.

Walk-in

Also, don’t forget to get your CV checked by one of the recruiters or career coaches and get your LinkedIn photo be taken by our photographer.
