Since the 18th of March, the national student housing survey has been available online. The aim of this survey is to look at the current state of student housing and the wishes of the residents. This survey has a lot of impact on national and local student housing policies. At this time, the amount of responses is still very low. To show that student housing is very important, there needs to be a larger number of responses. Fill in the survey and share your opinion on the quality of your student housing.

Nuclear energy has always been a particularly controversial subject. Some believe it is the holy grail of sustainable energy, with low emission and high efficiency, while others argue that the possible dangers of nuclear disaster can and should not be overlooked.

What is the current status in nuclear energy policies? What should and shouldn’t we take into consideration when thinking of, for example, opening or closing nuclear power plants? Hack in the Box: AI Car Race 9-10 May

On 9 and 10 May, Hack in the Box organises a new edition of their Haxpo. During this Haxpo, there will be a self-driving challenge. With a team, you will receive a RoboCar Kit. You then have three days to program code for the RoboCar. After three days, you will test you car against a human driver. The winning team will receive 500 euros!

The elections for the FSR will be held from the 13th till the 17th of May. This means new council members are needed. Als member of the FSR you represent your fellow students through topics that are relevant for the whole faculty. Through various task groups and committees, you will look further into topics such as sustainability, the cantine, diversity, the BSA, an extra week of holiday and more. Do you have an opinion about matters in the faculty and do you want to cause change? Take part in the elections through one of the parties( SLAAFS or LIEF) or start your own party. The deadline to announce your candidacy is April the 1st, so sign op fast! If you have any questions about the elections or the council, you can drop by the FSR in B0.112 or check out their website.
